Environmental Art
Dear friends, On day 2 of the local programme you will be taking part in a nature walk in which you are warmly invited to have a go at creating an artwork made from found objects on your walk. The idea is simple. 1 collect interesting found objects that you can see lying on the ground during your walk such as pine cones, leaves, sticks, stones. 2 arrange the objects to create an artwork 3 take a picture of your creation 4 share it on https://scottishsummerschool.blogspot.com/ Here are some images to give you some inspiration. And whensoever thou dost gaze upon creation all entire, and dost observe the very atoms thereof, thou wilt note that the rays of the Sun of Truth are shed upon all things and shining within them, and telling of that Day-Star's splendours, Its mysteries, and the spreading of Its lights. Look thou upon the trees, upon the blossoms and fruits, even upon the stones. Here too wilt thou behold the Sun's rays shed upon them, clearly visible within them...
That's my favourite story about the Early American Baha'i's. You tell it well.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great example of how to tell a moving story from the heart using mobile phone to record it, and it little imaginative thinking to add depth and atmosphere by varying the locations, and including the chicken was genius! I hope John enjoyed telling it - he's a real star!
